It all started with this “simple blue medieval dress” that I was asked to make for my friend. I liked the style of it, so I put a lot of attention to details on this one. My friend liked it as well, and very soon she was back with a real challenge – a full scale cosplay costume for competition!
Her plan was to cosplay a female wizard character from Diablo 3 video game, at the Japanizam 2014 cosplay competition in Belgrade. This costume was inspired by ancient China with a lot of mythical and fictional details which included footwear, accessories, weapons (a sword and a staff), headwear and some larger ornaments such as magic scrolls mounted on the waist belt. Phew! But there has to be a first time for everything.
It took me about a month and a half to finish it – and such a short sentence to cover all the endeavours which I went through. Day and night I struggled with elements which were hard to fit together, my sisters wanted to literally denounce me for all the mess that I regularly made at home. But nevertheless they helped me a lot to finish it, and my work got some very positive reactions from the audience at the competition.

My friend won the 3rd place in the senior category, a big success in my opinion, but actually the biggest was that it started a very productive cooperation with the Evenstar Fantasy Festival members...
